Ljiljana Čavić (1983, Majdanpek, Serbia)

Ljiljana Čavić is an assistant professor of Design Studio at Faculdade de Arquitetura ULisboa (FAUL). She took her master degree from Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade where she was teaching assistant during 2007/08. She finished her doctoral thesis in 2018 at FAUL entitled UrbArch Emptiness – Lisbon Riverside. Since 2014 she is an associated member of CIAUD and DCG (Design and Computation Group) at FAUL and of FTH (Philosophy of Human Technologies) at Centro de Filosofia das Ciências UL. She is a practicing architect and one of the authors of Solid and Convex Voids – analytical and representational method intended for investigation of unbuilt part of urban-architectural spaces which are currently being taught at FAUL. She is one of the founders of Neodeconstruction platform for social and architectural criticism through artistic and professional engagement.
