PARA-ARCHITECTURE:
Presence, Emptiness, Latent Structures

The presented works correspond to conceptual and artistic explorations that I title 'Para-Architectures' - the creation of imaginary spaces, bridging architecture, sculpture, painting, and metaphysics - under the theme of 'In Praise of Emptiness (le carré bleu,Paris, 2010).' Material boundaries shape forms of emptiness, which take on significant roles through the combination of panels creating geometric, anthropomorphic, and architectural figures - triangles, squares, circles, eyes, vulvas, portals, chambers, and more - supported by my theory of 'Space-Limit' and the categories: Appearance, Emergence, Latency, and Emptiness, drawing from the phenomenology of Merleau-Ponty and G. Bachelard, and the Metaphenomenology of J. Gil. The 'latent structures' - corresponding to invisible geometric figures, acknowledged through my analysis of historical buildings and paintings linked to Fabrorum Geometry, Sacred Geometry, and Gestalt (“Geometries of the Gaze and The Invisibility”, Philadelphia, 2018) - serve as the starting point for the creation of the artworks. Through their scales, the works function as grand alchemical amulets that generate effects of presence and physical as well as metaphysical sensations, through a combination of Sacred Geometry, Materials and Void.”
